Fixed term until 30 June 2026 with an opportunity for extension subject to funding.
We are looking for experienced mental health clinicians highly skilled in engaging with diverse groups, passionate about improving access to mental health services and wanting to contribute to the provision of quality, impactful mental health services in the Mount Barker region.
About the Mount Barker Medicare Mental Health Centre (MBMMHC)
Medicare Mental Health Centres are designed to provide a welcoming, low stigma, soft entry point to engagement, assessment and treatment for people who may be experiencing distress or crisis. They assist people aged 16 and over to have access to on-the-spot care, advice and support provided by a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals including people with lived experience – without needing a prior appointment. They offer an episode of care model, delivering evidence-based care and family support to cover the short to medium term, based on clinical judgement and individual need, including interventions to support those with associated alcohol and other drug (AOD) misuse.
About the roles
The Senior MH Clinicians will play a leading role guiding clinical decision making and coordinating shifts to ensure the provision of high quality clinical and support services at the Centre. They will support the Unit Manager and Clinical Lead in service design, review and reporting, and provide education and support to other multidisciplinary staff members to foster a culture of respectful collaboration in addition to providing clinical services.
Mental Health Clinicians are responsible for the development and delivery of brief and crisis interventions including Single Session Therapy and Solution Focused approaches to clients aged 16 and up presenting to the MBMMHC. They provide care coordination and support transition to appropriate community services and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services at the Centre.

About you
Our ideal candidates will be experienced in brief and crisis interventions, including single session therapy and solution focused approaches. We are seeking clinicians who are strength based and committed to providing inclusive and accessible mental health support in a multi-disciplinary team which includes people with lived experience.
