Professional Profile

Dr Teresa Girolamo is a GP with extensive experience in obesity management. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1994, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), and has been working in clinical general practice since 1997 in Australia and overseas.

Dr Girolamo has enjoyed working as part of the Australian Metabolic and Obesity Surgery (AMOS) team since 2008, she is also a co-founder and Director of “Re:You” Weight Management Solutions.

Dr Zanna Murfitt is a GP and surgical assistant with a special interest in bariatric medicine.  She completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Adelaide in 1999 followed by an Honours degree in 2000. She then completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Flinders University and graduated in 2004.

Dr Murfitt has worked in General Practice in Australia and Canada for over 12 years and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. (FRACGP). Dr Murfitt has been working at Australian Metabolic and Obesity Surgery for some years and is a co-founder and Director of “Re:You” Weight Management Solutions.

Re:You is a GP led weight management clinic, incorporating lifestyle with all of the evidence-based medical and surgical options to provide patients with an individualised treatment plan.

We provide medical management and have extensive experience with all of the latest pharmacological therapies.

We can assess patients suitability for bariatric surgery, refer them appropriately and then provide all the aftercare. We also have extensive experience in lapband management and adjustments.

Re:You is a group of GPs that have extensive experience in all the medical and surgical treatment options for weight management. We provide patients with unbiased, evidence-based information about the chronic nature of obesity. The aim is to empower clients with an individually tailored program.

  • Access to surgical treatments

Referrals to our General Practitioners are not necessary, however any relevant medical information is valued.

GP referral forms are available online, or referral pads can be delivered to your Practice on request.
