Priya Rajan (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Psychotherapist)
Priya is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with advanced training across evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies and works from a neuro-affirming framework. Her practice is culturally aware and sensitive, supporting adults across all genders, ages, and cultural backgrounds. She specialises in CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and is a perpetual learner. She offers specialist skills through the Conversational Model and EMDR Level 1, combining depth-oriented therapy with contemporary, structured approaches. Her trauma work is careful, collaborative, and grounded in safety, stabilisation, and trust.
Priya works from an understanding that clients are the experts in their own lives, approaching therapy as a collaborative process that centres client voice, autonomy, and empowerment within a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship, alongside skilled guidance and grounded support.
Priya integrates top-down and bottom-up approaches, working with cognition, meaning-making, and behaviour alongside nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and embodied experience. This creates therapy that is grounded, empathetic, responsive, and well-suited to trauma-informed work.
As a neurodivergent practitioner, Priya brings lived insight into her practice in a thoughtful and boundaried way, supporting accessibility, attunement, and genuine respect for neurodiversity.
