Private Billing Policy

CONNECTcare Private Billing Policy

CONNECTcare Private is committed to supporting the right of all clients to make informed financial decisions about their health. This is achieved through ensuring that clients are given clear and timely information regarding the fees that they may be required to pay when accessing the Service. We will always aim to ensure that our fees are fair and affordable, while ensuring we are able to provide high-quality health care to our clients.

CONNECTcare Private requires full payment of your account on the day of your appointment. If your appointment attracts a Medicare rebate, we will lodge the claim on your behalf and Medicare will deposit the rebate into your account.

When booking your first appointment you will be asked to complete a new client registration form. From time-to-time, returning clients may also be asked to review and update their registration details. The registration form will require you to enter the details of a debit or credit card. These details will be stored securely in our practice management system, Zanda.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be offered the choice of making payment in-person using our EFTPOS facilities or by providing verbal consent for payment to be processed online using the details saved in Zanda.

Once we have received payment, a copy of the finalised invoice will be emailed to you. If you would prefer a printed copy, please notify our administrative team and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

If you have private health insurance, please ensure you notify us prior to your appointment. You will need to pay for your appointment in full and then claim the rebate directly from your insurance provider.

If a third-party such as Workcover will be responsible for payment, you need to ensure that we have received all required paperwork prior to your appointment. We will send the invoice directly to the third-party and request payment on your behalf. If your eligibility for third-party payment changes, you must notify us immediately. You may be required to cover the cost of any further appointments.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please ensure you provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of cancellation. Failure to attend, or to provide the minimum notice, will result in a cancellation fee being charged. Third-parties generally don’t pay any cancellation fees. If you are charged a cancellation fee, you will be responsible for payment of the fee.
