Our Service
The Mount Barker Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a welcoming place where everyone (age 16+) can access free and confidential mental health information, services, and supports without a waiting list.
You don’t need a referral, or appointment to access services. The centre offers support for people in distress, including their family and carers.
We work to empower visitors to play an active role in their care whilst providing compassionate and holistic wrap around support. Our team is made up of qualified mental health clinicians, lived experience peer workers, specialist alcohol and other drug workers and nursing staff.
Support for when you need it.
- Immediate help and follow-up for people who are in distress.
- Support for people with mental health concerns.
- Support for carers and families of people experiencing mental health distress.
- Help connecting people with other services to support them in the future, from health to mental health, and social supports like housing and employment.
No cost, no appointment, no medicare card needed. Just walk in.
